oddly the only time she was a major character was in Sonic Advances 1, 2, and 3. I know this because i played and beat all 3 of them XD

I think with Amy the problem is that she does not have much screen time. For example in some of the 3-D games she can play critical roles (especially in SA2 and 06) while other characters gdespite achieving little get more time due to their popularity alne, which is a shame as I think that is one of the things that not only holds back the development of other characters, but also the franchse itself.

amy is one of those awesome, yet underused/undeveloped characters. SEGA should really put Amy as a major character with more screen time more often. I'm saying this out of the fact I think she's an awesome character (just my opinion) and i don't obsess over her like the super fanboys do. the fanboy/fangirl complaints about stupid stuff like Sonic romance, etc. are just plain bull. I mean seriously, who gives a damn about something simple as a character?

Fully agree. Personally the reason why I like the character is not becauase of the generic "she's cute" nor the shipping shennanigans since I like the character of Amy for what it is: a young and cheerful girl who, despite what many say, is actually strong and independent (I find it funny that she, at the age of 12 can live on her own in the big city while the haters still depend on mom and dad paying the bills to use the internet)and who despite some flaws like her bratty moments, is a kind and warm character who only wants the best for her friends and truly cares for them, sometimes even to a motherly degree. The other thing is that as a heroine, she started from the bottom and became self-reliant on her own, without Sonic's help. The fact that she can achive things without superpowers or special abilities says a lot in her favor.

As a playable char, I think that Advance 1 was her top moment because her particular style was unique and felt like a natural evolution after what was done with Tails and Knuckles in S3&K, and what I like about it is that she uses her very own moves and reflects perfectly the character's desire to stand on her very own merits instead of relying on imitating Sonic like Tails does. It's kind of sad that the closet thing to use that style again was in Advance 3, though one of the artists around here, E-122 Psi, made a series of hacks (wich can be found at sonicretro.org) that allow to play her in the Genesis trilogy.
